Overview

Asplenium australasicum is naturally found form the central to the northern east coast of New South Wales and Queensland growing in trees as a epiphyte or on the floor of rainforests. It is planted in small gardens for a tropical effect or in shaded patio pots and prefers filtered light, avoiding direct sun. It is frost and drought tender and once established it has a low water requirement (Scale: 1-drop from 3), responding to mulch and an occasional deep watering during dry periods, particularly for young plants.
